Oh, hi!

Hi, hello, you found me.

See them up there? That’s me and my family that is. As you can see, we are generally a happy lot. Those boys? Those are Charlie and Jack. My absolute rocks, my little beauts, my funny little jesters, and my teachers. That handsome man in the middle? That, dear readers, is Stuart. My man sized rock, my love, my hero.

This is a little project in the making. It may not be all flowers and sunshine, I expect it to be very raw in many ways, but I hope that I can bring you a smile or two as well, maybe even a chuckle here and there. Ultimately, I hope that I can bring you an open and honest account of my journey through love, joy, loss, and pain, and joy again.

My aim to to provide solidarity for others who have experienced the same wave of emotions, and perhaps also a learning journey for those who just do not understand.

You may be wondering why I chose to call this blog “Sapphire in Her Mind” Well, it is a line from an Elbow song, ‘Magnificent’. The perfect name to a song that strikes a big chord for me and Stuart. Sapphire is also our baby girl’s birthstone.

Grab a drink, get comfy, get tissues if you’re the tearful type, a biscuit or several, and have a read of my story….
